Does CBD Really Work?!

Let me preface this blog by stating by no means am I doctor, nor pretend to be one! In fact, I barely survived a year in medical device sales and could hardly pronounce those sophisticated medical terms. But, when it comes to CBD and understanding how it works in the human body, I’ve got it down. Interesting it wasn’t until 1992, that the medical community discovered humans are equipped with an endocannabinoid system. The ECS system is a network of receptors spread throughout our entire body that helps control some of our most important life functions. Some of these include our immune system, pain receptors, mood and sleep patterns, neurological functions and more.

So, let’s break it down beyond the medical jargon to describe how CBD works in our bodies. When CBD enters the human body, it attaches to the receptors within our endocannabinoid system (the CB1 and CB2 receptors) In doing so, it puts everything at ease or in homeostasis for much more ease of function. This is where our body starts to feel a relief with pain, anxiety, inflammation and so much more. This relief comes all without psychoactive effects. I repeat, “You Do Not Feel High” when taking CBD.

With all of the hoopla of CBD and so many of you asking and wondering, “Is CBD really that good for you? The answer is YES. So, I leave you with something that struck a chord with me. Your body has an endocannabinoid system. It doesn’t have a Zoloft or Ibuprofen system. I rest my case.
